Wyoming Business Council and Partners Offer Export Readiness Webinars for Wyoming Businesses

January 5, 2023

Cheyenne, Wyo – In 2021, Wyoming companies exported more than $1.4 billion in goods to the world. Of the companies that export, 97.5 percent are small businesses.

Are you a small business that manufactures vehicle components, parts for vacuum pumps, or hand tools? Do you offer unique Wyoming-made art, food products, or spirits? If so, the world is waiting for your product and Wyoming has a team ready to help your company expand into international markets.

The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) has partnered with the Small Business Administration, Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Wyoming Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and US Commercial Services to offer a series of free export readiness webinars for Wyoming businesses.

This six-part series will guide business owners through the necessary steps and provide real-world examples from successful Wyoming small business exporters.

“Exporting is a great strategy to grow sales and diversify your customer base. This webinar series is targeted to Wyoming businesses that are new to exporting,” shared Kaley Holyfield, WBC Business Retention and Expansion Manager. “We’ll walk you through everything you need to know as you consider expanding your market internationally and share insights from companies that have learned a few lessons through their own exporting experiences.”

All webinars will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. and will be recorded for anyone unable to attend live.

“We encourage Wyoming businesses to join if you anticipate exporting to be a part of your strategy tomorrow or in the next few years,” Kaley continued.
