Wyoming Council for Women to Hold Quarterly Virtual Meeting

CHEYENNE, WY – The Wyoming Council for Women (WCW) invites community members to join its virtual quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Key discussion areas will include:

  • DWS Research & Planning Presentation on Women in the Workforce: Hearing from Michael Moore, Research Supervisor with the Department of Workforce Services’ Research & Planning Division. He will present new data outlining women working across the state by industry and county.
  • National Association of Commissions of Women Presentation: A brief overview of the organization.
  • Partnership Funding Scores Review: The Council will review applications for its partnership funding initiatives, which allocate resources to organizations and projects supporting women’s development and well-being across the state.
  • WCW Summit Proposal and Future Event Planning: Discussion and formal review of the proposal for potentially hosting a WCW Summit, detailing its scope, theme, and logistical matters.

“The WCW is moving forward with a clear focus: gathering the necessary data to understand women’s roles in our economy and strategically planning for our future impact. The presentations on workforce statistics and our upcoming potential in-person Summit represent crucial steps in our mission to advance women’s leadership and economic security,” said Natalia Duncan Macker, Chair of the WCW.
